Description
Women of any age and stage of life are welcome at our Women’s Health Clinic. The clinic is staffed by female general practitioners (GPs) and nurses. The Women’s Health Clinic specialises in the health and wellbeing of women, with a focus on:
- Understanding puberty
- Sexual diversity and transgender health care
- Common issues with periods
- Contraception options, including long-acting reversible contraception such as IUD or implant insertion and removal
- Fertility information
- Pregnancy tests
- Early pregnancy care and referral to maternity hospitals
- Unplanned pregnancy counselling and support
- Medical termination
- Referral to services for surgical termination
- Sexually transmissible infection risk assessment, testing and treatment
- Endometriosis and pelvic pain
- Cervical cancer screening
- Breast health and breast checks
- Bowel cancer screening
- Menopause.
Related services include the Sexual and Reproductive Health Clinic and the Trans and Gender Diverse Clinic (no referral required) and Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Clinic (referral required).
Target population
Women of all ages and stages, including trans and gender diverse clients.
Eligibility criteria
Residents of Loddon Mallee Region.
