Imagine a Place where you can run fast as a tiger, playing indoors and out … a safe place, a friendly place … a place called Playgroup.
Imagine a Place is a picture book written and illustrated for children and families by children and families that celebrates the benefits of going to Playgroup.
The book was facilitated by C4C Bendigo in partnership with Kids’ Own Publishing and three local playgroups – Shine Bright Supported Playgroup, Bendigo & District Aboriginal Co-operative’s wonyotjarrapil Playgroup and Hope Community Playgroup Huntly. Each playgroup worked with Kids’ Own Publishing artists Rita Peris (lead artist) and Sharnni Cooper, an emerging Bendigo based, Koori artist, sharing stories and illustrations, that combined in one joyful account of the playgroup experience.
